What do you do when you have an assignment due the next day and when you have a couple of tests coming up the next week and a lot of pending research work. Take pictures 🙂

I am just trying to learn more about shooting pictures in the dark, just using some focus light or plain ambient light.

This picture of my hand was shot with light from a table lamp focussing on it, on top of a formica table-top.

Moonlight yesterday night with the parking lot right in front of my apartment. It is quite amazing the way the green color of the grass has come inspite of the darkness and the surrounding “yellow” halogen lamps. I just want to work on more of these kind so that they become more of a regularity than a rarity.

I am also working of soft focus, using the close up mode setting of the camera. What is to be noted is how the image in focus is clearer and sharper than the foreground and the background. This had always eluded me, but now I can do it :D. These pictures show my laptop (note “the MAC feel”) with the pencil lead in the foreground and the next one shows what I was supposed to be reading when the shutter bug hit me all of a sudden.
