Just as I decided to print my new lease agreement, the amber toner light on my Brother HL 2070N started glowing. “Amber” lights are typically warning lights, but not so with Brother printers. The amber is really a red, meaning you cannot print any more until you replace you toner cartridge.
I went online to look for the toner at Amazon.com. I am a review freak [often this ends up making the decision buying process more complicated than vice-versa]. I decided to read the reviews and ahem, here is what I found.
Remove the cartridge and find 2 clear plastic port holes, one on each side……….. Cover one or both windows with a small piece of masking tape
I gleefully did as instructed and voila! things were back up and running again. There was ZERO change in print quality. What a rip off it would have been had I not come across the suggestion. Long live C. MACPHAIL.
